#26-12 Feb 1945The muddy streets of Echtz, Germany
were never dry while we fired and waited
for the Roer River to go down.

#27-15 Feb 1945 Practicing on the Inden River for
the coming Roer River crossing.

#28-18 Feb 1945 Geich, Germany, was like many other
small towns just west of the Roer River......WRECKED.

#29-20 Feb 1945 Hoven, Germany, on the Roer River
north of Duren, we shot everything
from 75's to 8 inch howitzers while forward
observing from a factory in town.

#30-24 Feb 1945 Birchsdorf, Germany, with German
prisoners on the other side of the Roer River
waiting to be ferried across to safety.
